What a Day!
Tuktuk wants to know if the rain gets scolded for getting late? Or the flowers gets to hear do baatein for blooming later than usual?

The story takes places in a costal town. I thought of Worli Koliwada and set it there, and spent time doing visual research online before beginning with sketching. I wanted to immerse in Tuktuk’s world. Shivam encouraged me to think of my own childhood, and how I would go about my day taking my time.
The cover was painted in gouache. The illustrations inside were drawn in pencil and painted digitally with watercolour brushes. I wanted the images to feel vivid and flowy so I tried to retain some lightness in them.
