I had been attending once-a-weekend classes with my mother and sister at a lovely, quaint pottery studio in Noida last year in 2023. We learned the pinching technique in the first session and made some wobbly pots. Mum made rather big and gorgeous coconut-like vessels. She used to make soft toys and batik prints ages ago... It’s so lovely to see her excited about an art activity again.
I made three pots in the first class and carved a dragonfly in one and a bird-transforms-into-a-fish-transforms-into-a-bird story in another, which did not survive. What survived is presented below. A palette which I use on the regular, a jewellery tray, a trinket box, the dragonfly pot and some coiled pots plus some more.
